The encaustic paintings in the body of work EAST MEETS EAST were created after an incredible trip to India, where I was immersed in novel sights and sounds, new earth and air. I  also participated in a fabric printing workshop using traditional hand carved wooden blocks. I started working on a new series of paintings as soon as I got back to my studio.
