If you look closely at the paintings in the VERTICALITY series, you'll see an array of pattern and colour, created by printing and stamping shapes on paper. I've blended layer after layer of texture into vertical designs using traditional encaustic processes. Each piece in the series speaks to every other piece. I created the prints with hand carved stamps and vintage wooden printing blocks from the fabric trade in India. The series harkens back to turn-of-the-century product design.
